Wedding : joys and pain

Mother and daughter
looking ahead , looking away
a wedding awaits

a wedding awaits
sweet pain of separation
dreams of new life.

family tree spreads
new branches, new memories
love and moments flow

Prompted for Haiku my heart , Haiku heights , OSI

  16. This is sweet, Ladie N. There is a saying here, "you aren't losing a daughter, you are gaining a son."

I really liked your picture. These ladies are in fine, fine, dress, their jewelery is gorgeous. Is this a family picture or stock? Just wondering.

My poem is also about the family tree but with a diffferent scheme than yours. Weddings weren't mentioned.
