ek din ( hindi poem)

एक बार बोला होता याद आई थी मेरी ,
एक बार आरज़ू होती करीब आने की ,
एक बार तो कहते दिन कुछ अधूरा सा था,
एक हसरत तो होती गले लगाने की ,

एक रंग तो ऐसा होता जो तुम मेरे लिए बचाते,
एक लम्हा वो जो मेरे बिना सूना सा लगता ,
एक मौका तुम निकालते मुझको बताने को
वही एक बात जो हर रोज़ मैं सुनना चाहती हूँ ।

एक बार तो मैं जागती सुन कर तुम्हारी आवाज़
एक दिन वो होता तुम बिन बुलाए आते मेरे घर
एक दिन ऐसा होता ,तुम करते शिकायत मुझसे
की वक़्त नहीं मिलता क्या मुझे याद करने का ?

और मैं मुसकुरा देती हूँ ये सब सोच कर
क्यों मैं करती हूँ ऐसे सवाल तुमसे हर बार
जिनके जवाब मालूम हैं, जो राज़ मालूम हैं,
प्यार करते हो, दिखाते नहीं,एक दिन कहोगे यही .....

Once if you had said, you thought of me
once you had wanted,to keep me close,
once if you had told,the day was incomplete
one desire you had,to hug me and never let go.

One shade of love,had you saved for me
one moment you had felt alone without me,
one chance you had taken,to let me know
day and night, the one thing i keep asking.

One day i would want to wake up with your call
one day i want to see you come to me,uncalled
one day i want you to have complaints
too busy I remain,you would ask me one day.

And then I smile at these foolish thoughts,
in vain do I question you, whenever we meet,
the answers I know, the secrets none to me,
you love but can't show,I know you would say to me.

Peace at a price

Why we need
to know voilence,
to be rattled;
before we seek
the calmness ?

will I last ?

will I last all days ?
Its something
I stopped asking
a long time back;
time now lacerate
the passion to pen,
ripe ideas tempt me but
I do not comprehend;
I simply say to myself,
make it fun,
make this count;
read and write,
with dignity and pride;
make friends as you walk
spread words while you last.


This is the first thing that popped in ym head as I chanced upon Octpowrimo challenge . No way I can write 31 poems but I can sure try my best.
