Goodbye

Write to me, I heard you say at last,
knowing well I would not,
no matter how politely you ask.

Yet, here I am scribbling this note
"I loved you , a little even now,
but We are not the same anymore"

"I have moved back to my past,
of lonely libraries, books and strangers
who turn away when they notice my scars"

"You have many roads to chose
wherever you might want to go,
my wishes you will not lose.

"Take this fading paper with you,
as you leave a trail of memories behind,
I will miss you a little, knowing you would too"

To do , or not.

I was meeting him after an year. Time , how it changes. From having every meal together , 5 days a week and the monthly movie night; today we stood facing each other trying to find the similarity and the differences in each other. The very air around us was charged with anticipation.

you look stunning.
I always do, I prefer to assume.
And the same tongue too I see.
Blame yourself darling for putting words in my mouth for all senseless talks.
So you admit, you talk non-sense.
Only with you. So you won't have trouble following the conversation.
Ah! that too a favor on me ?
not really. Its an art i practice on you.

I looked around as people walked by us, and yet none of us wanted to either move to a comfortable location or walk away from each other. There was no reason for us to meet. And yet, down to every bone in my body, I always knew we would meet some day and stand in middle of road, deciding which road to take next. Finally he spoke.

you are getting married soon.
Is that a question r statement ?
A request.
why do you have to be the center of all dramas ?
you prefer adventure , I suppose.
always.
Lets do it each other's way then.
You marry some one you want and then run away with me.
you know I can not love two people at same time.
you do not have to love me.
but I do.
then marry me.
I can not.
why not ? I thought that's what you came here for.
You never asked, what I came for.
I am asking now.
Ask properly.
Get lost !
Lets run away.
right now ?
your call.
Wait! you are married right ?
yeah. you too.
Lucky guy.
totally.

And then we hugged, knocking out each other's breath with the strong embrace and a kiss that would seal our paths as one, forever.

I was meeting him after an year. Time , how it changes. From having daily skype calls and emailing long love notes while we fought our parents who could not accept us, we were finally married, away from all yet so much happy for the time being.

My real hero walked hand in hand with me as the lights came up on the busy street.

Images and words

some images you come across,
and can not think of
new words,
or lines,
'cause
some one wrote
better dreams
that seem to sweep
across your mind
and the images
come alive.

As soon as I saw the image prompt for this week , I was reminded of a poem by Ibeingme. It took me a while but I did dig it out for you. ( Linked to his  name )

The eye

The "eye of dead" was not to be dug out.The evil spirits laughed as soon as it saw light. He thought it would resurrect his dead lover when the eye levelled and stopped. He sat for weeks next to the preserved body.He died waiting. The eye took another soul.

And So it began ..

She fell in love ,
one tweet at a time,
He fell in love
one meet at a time;
They are in love
one kiss at a time.

Absence

He has been absent
for long;
the doorknob gone cold,
the mats heavy and dull
awaiting his footsteps
that led more to her
than to the house in all.
she has been waiting
so long;
the recipie books torn,
the stoves left to gather dust,
awaiting him in next chair,
her gaze fixed
on stale food,his empty chair.
In an old cemetry he lies,
wondering how long
she could hold on to hopes,
In the adjacent grave she lies
wondering how long
he would take to be home.
The food,the home,
the warmth, the love,
all lost.long ago.

Sensible Art & Verse

Flying Down, 2006, by David Salle

"A for airplane
B for bums
C for colors
D for duck"
so goes the little rhyme
from the kid trapped in me
his giggles echo in my heart,
and the day sooms to smile free.

Please forgive me for this verse. I don't know why I thought this way as soon as I noticed the airplane.

And now a haiku :

"a sensible art"
he said,showcasing this work,
"perhaps to the blind"
