Spring

patiently the earth
awaits the flowers to open,
the birds return home

Strange Lovers

I remember the day I first saw you - walking through the glass doors , shyly looking around till you spotted me. I guess you were more nervous than me - meeting like that for the first time after a month or two of talking online some nights.

I wonder,he said
how could strangers not feel odd
unless I met you.

He thought of the first time she asked to meet. He wanted to watch the movie and her company was not a big price. He got reminded of the warm smile and the non stop talks after the movie - she could talk all time and still would not mind his silence.

broken by people,
whom she thought would keep her safe,
a stranger held her.

Today It doesn't feel so weird, that we are together.
Today it feels so comfortable, like it was planned forever.

Rogue Flower

kindness lives long
so the wild one thought,its eyes
set on castle wall;

little did king know
rogue petals flourish not
chaos bleeds life.

confessions

sugar coated words
hurt no less;no more my love
truth sets the heart free

life forever sets
your deeds against icebergs
kept safe by wisdom

A Wish

if it could be true,
she wished for scripted peace,
tulips smile for her.

Winter winds

storm from your memories
flashes of your touch

Indian Summer

the lazy bones yearn,
late summers refuse to move
winter knocks on door.

( An Indian summer is a heat wave that occurs in the autumn. It refers to a period of considerably above-normal temperatures, accompanied by dry and hazy conditions, usually after there has been a killing frost. )

Purple bloom

tiny fingers clench,
purple blooms,prodding the pine
faint smiles fill the air

Winters

full moon tonight
she waits for him to return
end of her winters;

nearby a beaver
gathers food , fur and hopes
for cozy winters;

seasons come and go
some creatures nest,some let go
varied reactions.

Birch

silver shower of love,
passions paint the colors of night
Birch hides the lovers.

Thanks

Tea leaves boil -
high above the mountain
ascetic smiles;

new day beckons
kept in wraps by prayers
silent blessing.

envision the peace,
waves in motion,sand in feet,
hold the dream,hold me.

Mother-Daughter-Mother

the daughter turns -
she nurses a life within;
circle continues.

This haiku is for Carpe Diem.

Inspired by this thought , I penned the following lines in my native language. translation below that.

she, who filled
my arms with her smiles,
stands today
with her arms filled like wise;
who claimed her place
in my life since birth,
has shared it now
with her own flesh and blood.

This poem is for the wonderful poets I meet each week @ Open Link night .

Marriage

A bed of roses
they together walked upon
healing scars from past.

healing scars of past
they sow seeds of love and care -
tree of happy life.
