"Did you tell mom that we should have dinner like poor people?" my son asked my mom.
She looked amused. She never thought we would remember such things.
"Yes, I did. that's to give less work to tummy."
"Is soup poor ?"
"no child, we have it 'cause it is richest in vegetables."

Inspired from Theme Thursday .
also for G-Man 's fridayflash55
soup is good...and def rich...and often thought of as poor but then again it can def be rich....
ReplyDeleteI love making chicken noodle soup from chicken leftovers.
ReplyDeleteNothing warms up a dreary day as does a rich soup. Make mine minnestrone.
ReplyDeleteI never thought of soup as a poor person's food. Some soups are expensive to make. I just think of soup as something special that someone made from their heart. I love soups, especially homemade. The cans in the store are getting so expensive that pretty soon very few poor people will be able to buy any.
ReplyDeleteHappy Theme Thursday, thanks for playing this week. Have a fantastic weekend.
God bless.
Ha, ha, sweet.
DeleteLady Nimue...
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like reverse psychology to me.
Was it Muligatawny soup?
Loved your philosophical 55
Thanks for playing, and have a Kick Ass Week-End
